Kickoff meeting, September 15-16, 2025
On the 15th and 16th of September 2025, the kickoff meeting of our consortium took place in Heidelberg, Germany. Work package leaders presented about their current status and next steps. We discussed how interactions and exchange of samples between consortium members can be optimally managed. Together, we discovered the beautiful old town of Heidelbeg. Alltogether, it was a productive meeting and a great opportunity to develop new ideas.
Scientific Advisory Board Meeting, February 27, 2026
On the 27th of February 2026, our first Scientific Advisory Board meeting took place. We are proud to collaborate with a group of six internationally recognised experts who support our project with strategic guidance and scientific expertise. Our Scientific Advisory Board plays a key role by bringing together diverse interdisciplinary perspectives, strengthening our work on innovative approaches to treat atrial fibrillation and bundle branch blocks, and enhancing our ability to achieve sustainable outcomes. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Eberhard Bodenschatz, John Camm, Cornelia Lee-Thedieck, Frits Prinzen Katja Schenke-Layland and Godfrey Smith for their time, commitment, and contributions to the project.

Patient Advisory Board Meeting, May 16, 2026
Patient voices matter! On the 16th of May 2026, our project Partner NIPC held the first Patient Advisory Board meeting of the NanoBeat project. Patients are at the heart of clinical innovation. Their experiences, perspectives, and needs are essential to ensure that the solutions we develop truly make a difference for patients and in patient care. The Patient Advisory Board will help us ensure that the concepts and technologies developed within NanoBeat align with real patient needs and can be successfully adopted in clinical practice. By actively involving patients in the design of the project, we aim to build solutions together – not just for patients, but with them. A sincere thank you to all patients participating in this advisory board for sharing their time, experiences, and valuable perspectives with us.

Medtronic S&T Conference Munich, June 18, 2026
On the 18th of June 2026, the NanoBeat project was represented to a scientific audience of our consortium partner Medtronic. During the event, our project coordinators, Constanze Schmidt and Stefan Kallenberger, delivered a keynote lecture presenting the NanoBeat project’s vision, objectives, and recent progress. We would like to thank Medtronic for hosting this inspiring event and all participants for the engaging discussions. Such exchanges are essential for connecting research and innovation activities with industrial needs and fostering the adoption of new technologies in real-world applications.

Joint Workshop for Early-Career Researchers, July 1, 2026
On the 1st of July 2026, NanoBeat participated in the Joint Workshop for Early-Career Researchers across our EU Sister Projects. A big thank you to the organizers of HYDROHEAL and Daedalusproject for bringing together early-career researchers and creating such a valuable opportunity to connect across projects, exchange methodologies and expertise, and explore future collaboration opportunities. We were delighted to contribute to the workshop. Special thanks. Constanze Schmidt for providing an overview of the NanoBeat project and to Vivien Wiltzsch and Mohamed Elgamaly for presenting their contributions and representing our project throughout the workshop. We look forward to continuing the collaboration and strengthening the European research network together.
